Showing up hungry at holiday gatherings can make it challenging to stick to a plan. If it’s an evening meal, try to keep on a regular eating schedule the first part of the day. Consider starting the meal off with soup or salad. And remember, the cold, dry air of winter can be dehydrating. Work on drinking adequate water, since sometimes thirst or dehydration can be masked as hunger and lead to eating.
