Friday, November 30th,  2018

Walking Group

Every Friday, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM

  • Weekly 30-minute group walk, followed by a post-walk stretch with Clinical Exercise Physiologist Rachel Trope, MS, CEP

  • Meet in the lobby at 11:00 am and head down to walk in the parking garage (level B2)

  • Walk for 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes at any pace that is comfortable for you!

  • Great conversation and group support

Fee: You do not need to be a patient of the clinic to participate. Free for active Comprehensive Program patients; $30 per session for all others. Prepayment package discounts available.

Free Yourself from Emotional and Binge Eating

Every Friday, 12:00 PM- 1:00 PM

  • Weekly 60-minute group with psychologist Rachel Burnett, PhD

  • 10-12 sessions (with possibility of more based on interest)

  • Supportive environment to help you identify and change eating and lifestyle challenges

  • Learn behavioral and cognitive skills to change your relationship with food

Saturday, December 1st, 2018

Washington Center Walks 

Every other Saturday, 8:30 am

  • 10-60 minute group walk

  • Go at your own pace

  • Supportive environment

  • Free!

Whether you want to walk for 3 minutes or 3 miles this group walk is for you. Join the our Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Rachel Trope, MS, CEP and the #WashingtonCenterWalks group every-other Saturday for a morning walk with a side of great conversation and support. All fitness levels are welcome! Pace and distance will vary depending on your specific needs.

Saturday Scoop

Every Saturday, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

  • 60-minute group led by a different provider each week who will cover a different weight-management related topic such as exercise, adequate protein intake, or coping with emotions

  • Group discussion to follow

Are you worried about exercising during the holidays? Join Rachel T, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, on Saturday, December 1st for H.I.I.T-ing the Holidays: Short interval workouts for a busy time of year.

 

Interval training workouts can be done anywhere, and with minimal, or no equipment. They are more efficient and can take less time than many traditional workouts. This makes interval training IDEAL for the busy holiday season. Here’s what to expect:

  • Tips and tricks on staying active throughout the holidays

  • Group discussion

  • Brief warm up, short interval workout, cooldown/stretching

  • Appropriate for ALL fitness levels
