Saturday Scoop 4.6.19: Muscle Matters, Maintaining Muscle Mass for Health and Daily Function

With age comes change. One of those changes is that the amount of muscle we have in our bodies begins to decrease. This gradual loss of muscle function is the very thing we need to stay independent and active as we age. As the makeup of our body shifts, new health concerns arise because of that shift. We used to think that muscle function loss was a natural part of the aging process, we know now that we can combat this loss through movement and strength training. Dr. Rubino, MD and Rachel Trope MS, CEP will talk about why this change happens, how to avoid it, and the important impact it has on your health.
