Holiday Tips: Planning for What You Need

Our latest holiday tip comes from our clinical psychologist, Rachel Burnett, Ph.D. Even though our "to-do" list grows during the holiday, we still only have 24-hours in a day. This can cause added stress and chaos. Dr. Burnett suggests taking a few minutes to plan for what you need during this hectic time of year. For example, a day off to shop for, and wrap presents, an hour of alone time before a holiday party, putting exercise on your calendar or to-do list so it doesn't get de-prioritized. Make a list of what needs to get done and then figure out a realistic (and low-stress) way to accomplish things one by one.
