It’s very common for people trying to manage their weight to discover they’ve been doing a lot of black-and-white thinking. They’re either being “good” because they’re eating healthfully, or are “bad” because they had a slip up. Foods fall into “good” and “bad” categories. Or they are either completely committed to their plan or completely off of it. This kind of thinking often leads to self-recrimination and can get in the way of a more balanced, sustainable approach to long-term weight management. In this group Dr. Burnett will discuss how this pattern happens and ideas for finding more middle ground.
