When some people hear the words "interval training," they picture themselves gasping for breath, wishing for the workout to be over. Others don't know what to picture, as they are wholly unfamiliar with this term. Interval training simply means alternating between two different activities that require different amounts of effort. It can be an effective and efficient way to exercise, allowing you to get maximum benefit in a shorter amount of time. Interval training certainly does not have to include all-out efforts!
