Washington Center Walks

Alternating Saturdays at 8:30 am

This week, Washington Center Walks is taking their workout indoors. Due to cold temperatures (the high on Saturday will only be 32 degrees), we will meet in the group room for an indoor workout. If you have never joined us for a group walk or indoor workout, this Saturday is a GREAT time to start.

What to expect:

  • 5 minute warm up

  • 20-30 minute circuit workout including body weight exercises focusing on cardiovascular and muscular endurance

  • 5 minute cooldown stretch

The workout is appropriate for ALL fitness levels and can be easily modified to make it easier or harder as necessary. Exercises can be done seated or standing. Just like with the walk, you can participate in as much or as little of the workout as you would like.

What to wear:

  • Since we will be inside, I suggest wearing lite clothing that you are comfortable moving around in, and sneakers.

What to bring:

  • Yourself

  • A water bottle

  • A sweat towel if you would like

RSVP required! RSVP to Rachel at rtrope@wtmgmt.com

Fee: Free for ALL participants. You do not need to be a patient of the clinic to participate.

Saturday Scoop: Healthy Hearty Soups

Saturdays 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

  • 60-minute group led by a different provider each week who will cover a different weight-management related topic such as exercise, adequate protein intake, or coping with emotions

  • Group discussion to follow

Get to cooking (and tasting) with Matthew D’Aria RD, PTA! Matthew will demonstrate how to make an easy, hearty and nutrient dense soup that will keep your warm and full all winter. Group discussion to follow.

Fee: Free for active Comprehensive Program patients; $35 per session for all others. Prepayment package discounts available.
